For the sufferer, managing mental health is far easier if they can accept their health status and have constructive views about addressing their problems. Mental health professionals should attempt to help a sufferer help themselves. This may mean finding ways to alleviate severe symptoms that the individual has little or no control over, and then educating the sufferer to employ practical techniques and strategies to help control symptoms.
